Azure APIM differences between enable Application Insights v Azure Monitor

I could not find the real difference enabling either Application Insigths and/or Azure Monitor in a API Management.

  • Both has the options to send Request/Response body
  • After enable logging Request/Response body, I can find the data on Application insights logs
  • However I could not find where the data is store after enable it on Azure Monitor

After researching for a while, there is no detailed info. Perhaps it’s enough if I only choose AppInsights, but I’d like to know the real differences before make the call.
