Atmospheric Real-Time Environment Made With Photogrammetry & UE5
3D Environment Artist Julien Rollin, widely known for his outstanding digital scenes made in Houdini, has unveiled Foggy Barn, an atmospheric digital environment and the artist’s first-ever real-time scene powered by Unreal Engine.
Inspired by Danny O’Hailey’s Hollow Hearts photograph, the project took over a month to complete and was set up in UE5 using Lumen, without path tracing. The scene’s centerpiece, a decrepit house seen in the middle, was created using photogrammetry, scanned with a drone and a DSLR camera via RealityScan. Additionally, the creator utilized Blender and Nuke.
