At Least 2286MB more space needed on / filesystem – Support

Hi All,
I know that this has been gone over before, but I need help with the error. I have gone up and down the internet and tried a lot of things but nothing seems to help.
I am doing an upgrade of Centos 7 to AlmaLinux 9.3. I have done this before on a clean machine and it went great, thanks to some help for you all.
Now I have a QA/Dev machine and I’m trying the same but I am getting the error:
Disk Requirements:
At least 2186MB more space needed on the / filesystem.

So far I have done:
-export LEAPP_OVL_SIZE=4096 and 8192
-yum clean all
-rpm -qa | grep kernel (removed all but the current kernel)
-sudo –preserve-env leapp upgrade
-sudo package-cleanup –leaves
-sudo package-cleanup –orphans
-sudo package-cleanup –oldkernels –count=1
-dnf clean all –enablerepo=*

so far what I understand is / is the root directory, which corresponds to /dev/mapper/centos-root and sda1-Centos-root.
