ASIO audio glitches on ASUS ROG FLOW X16 – need help with WPA
I’m experiencing highly intermittent audio clicks & pops using real time audio (DAW etc). LatencyMon reports that I don’t have any DPC problems, even when a glitch occurs.
I’m in the process of attempting to use the WPR/WPA, and I’ve attached a screen grab. I can’t see any particularly long running DPCs/ISRs just before the glitch, but what I do see is that the general system activity seems to stop for about 13ms, including USBXHCI.SYS, which normally runs about once very millisecond.
I am currently using an ASIO driver test utility from VB-Audio. Audible glitches occur when the “callback error” percentage hits 100%. During normal running, the error percentage is in the 10 – 20% range.
Environment:
ASUS ROG FLOW X16 (AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS, 32GB, Windows 11)
Arturia Minifuse 2 USB audio interface connected via USB-C
VB-Audio ASIO driver test utility
Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.
