Argon8 and Bitwig issue (in: Hardware (Instrument…)

I posted this on Reddit but didn’t find any solutions so trying here too.

I’ve got an Argon8 which is both my midi controller and synth. It’s easy enough to program just using the synth itself but can also be programmed using the Modal plugin/editor which functions as a VST- I tend to do this to fine tune my patches.

The issue I’m facing is that when I launch the modal plugin, it tells me the Argon8 is already being used by the DAW. True enough. I can go into settings/controllers and deactivat…
