apt – FFMPEG error while loading shared libraries on Ubuntu 24.10
With a fresh install of FFMPEG using sudo apt install ffmpeg on Ubuntu 24.10, executing ffmpeg --version produces the following:
ffmpeg: error while loading shared libraries: libjxl.so.0.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Using ldd /usr/bin/ffmpeg to show what shared libraries FFMPEG is pointing to, shows:
libjxl.so.0.7 => not found
libjxl_threads.so.0.7 => not found
libSvtAv1Enc.so.1 => not found
libx265.so.199 => not found
Ubuntu 24.10 does have a package for libjxl here, but is too up-to-date (0.10.3)
sudo apt install libjxl-dev=0.7 yields
Error: Version '0.7' for 'libjxl-dev' was not found
Is this some kind of oversight by apt?
