Anyone understand Kontakt? – Instruments Forum

I’m just starting trying to learn Kontakt, as in mix’n’matching presets, going to be awhile before I feel confident enough to design my own sounds from scratch!

Is it possible to save combis, like you can with the Korg M1 Emulator? By which I mean you choose – for argument’s sake – 3 Kontakt instruments, layer them together into one composite sound with effects/sound balancing/all the rest of it and then – this is the bit I don’t see how to do – save the sound as a combi so, when you load it back into Kontakt, it brings all 3 instruments back just as you mixed them (layered them together!) and you don’t have to do the layering process all over again?

I’m the legitimate owner of Kontakt 6, if that helps with this. It’s just I’ve never tried really learning it before (lazy-itis!) I bet I feel dumb when you all tell me how easy it is, but I’m not seeing it.
