Any guitar course good for beginners? – Guitars Forum

I tried out a few.

Many, many people will recommend Justin and with good reason – you’ll probably find yourself using his site and resources a lot even if you find other courses you like.

I really wanted Paul David’s course to be great but for absolute beginners I think it is perhaps hit or miss in that it might be too intermediate-biased. But the production values are top notch and Paul is of course fun to watch.

Rob Scallon’s beginner course (GuitarQuest) was really cute and fun but in the end I would say it was too slow and beginner-biased in that it just doesn’t seem to cover as much.

So for me, I kept cancelling the other courses and going back to Justin. YMMV.
