Antelope Discrete 4 Pro vs Apollo Twin X? – Hardware (Instruments and Effects) Forum

Years ago I had an Apollo Firewire and got rid of it for a Discrete 4. I later upgraded it for the Discrete 4 Synergy Core which I still have. I recently added an Orion Studio Synergy Core to my set up to go with it. I think AA mic pre’s are head and shoulders better than the UA’s. As far as converters, I’m not convinced they are better but the clocking is. I have all their FX on both and they are as good if not better than UA’s. I’ve never used UA’s mic modeling but I have both of the edge microphones, single and duo from AA and they also are great.
