ample guitar 2: can't play any note above the 4th fret????????????????? (in: Ample Sound)

I’m trying to learn the Ample guitar strum mode after years of having no idea what was going on. Now I have to recreate some chords, but I cannot recreate these chords because Ample guitar refuses to play any note above the fourth fret on any string except the highest one. It will let you SET notes above the fourth fret, but they will be completely silent. In fact, you don’t even have to set these notes manually; you can set the chord to D major third inversion, and only one note will be audible…
