Ambisonic format – howto? (in: MeldaProduction)

I can chime in on this as I made the original request for ambi support.

Yes, there is no encoding/decoding support, so melda expects encoded signals. Given there are freely available solutions for this it isn’t a big problem but it would have been nice to have integrated it.

So yeah, encode to ambi using something like the iem plugs, then use melda plugins in ambi mode. As you say, melda will be processing tons of channels.

It’s a somewhat blunt solution as some effects mess with stereo pha…
