Actually, no. It’s on a curve, but not a logarithmic one that scales up. As has been stated, we only got a (disputed) 25% increase in quality between ChatGPT 4 and 5, but a 4x increase in resource utilization. That’s alarming. Those resources aren’t free. How much will the next jump cost? 8x? These companies aren’t profitable now. They’re going to become profitable when their power needs skyrocket?
