adc – NodeRed for WaveShare AD Hat for Raspberry Pi 4? How?

I have this
analog-digital converter hat from the company WaveShare, and I am hoping to use it with a Raspberry Pi 4 to get a reading from this analog flow sensor whenever it detects water flow.

I’m hoping to hook up to a NodeRed instance that I have running on the Pi, as that is what I have been using to control relays that are hooked up to the Pi; ideally, the flow sensor would cause an email to be sent confirming that water has been delivered. All I have right now is the hat itself mounted to the Pi, the Pi configured to allow SPI, and I have installed all the recommended libraries and built everything that I have been instructed to on the products Wiki.

I’m very new to any kind of project like this, so I’m not sure if this question even makes sense to anyone, and for that I apologize if I am unclear or asking the wrong questions. I’ve pored through WaveShares Wiki on this product, as well as elsewhere online but I am yet to find anything particularly helpful.
