AAX plugin missing from installer in my members area – discoDSP Forum

I can certainly help you with your AAX plugin installation issue.

Firstly, please confirm that the OB-Xd.aaxplugin file is indeed located at the following path:

/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins

If the file is not located at this path, you may need to move the plugin file to this location before it can be detected by your DAW.

If the file is already located at the correct path, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check the plugin compatibility: Ensure that the OB-Xd.aaxplugin is compatible with the version of Pro Tools you are running. OB-Xd has been verified to run in latest the latest ProTools.
  2. Restart Pro Tools: Quit Pro Tools and restart the application. Sometimes, the plugin may not be recognized by the DAW until a fresh restart.
  3. Clear cache files: Clearing Pro Tools’ cache files can often resolve plugin-related issues. You can do this by deleting the following folders:
    • /Users/[Your Username]/Library/Caches/Avid/Pro Tools
    • /Users/[Your Username]/Library/Preferences/Avid/Pro Tools
  4. Rescan for Plugins: Try rescanning for plugins from within Pro Tools. To do this, go to the “Options” menu, then select “Preferences”, then “Plug-Ins”, and click on the “Rescan All” button.

If none of these steps resolve your issue, please let me know and we can explore further options.
