A problem? Mono vs Stereo sound from headphones? – Computer Setup and System Configuration Forum

I have this Mackie headphone connected to my external usb soundcard. Mostly it seems it sounds like mono sound. But if i twist(or turn around) the headphone connector to the soundcard the sound sometimes gets fuller or more stereo in sound. Often it then goes back to this more “mono” sound if i move around with my head with the headphone connected, then i have to “dial” in the headphone connector again to get more fuller stereo sound. I can’t describe it better. I tried to google the word and it says i might suffer from loose connection, glitch connection or backlash connection. The thing is that this fuller more stereo sound is sometimes hard to “dial in” with my headphone connector to the usb soundcard…… so much i thing it is indeed not correct and the more “mono” sound is the more correct sound.

Does anyone understand what i am talking about?
