5.06 – did the knife tool go away in arranger view? – Bitwig Forum

I installed 5.06 yesterday to take advantage of some of the new content, and things are generally ok. However I just went to cut an audio part in the arranger view and found that I could no longer right click and bring up the knife tool, among other tools.

I can still bring up the detail editor for that part, cut audio using the knife tool, delete the silence, then I can shrink the part in arranger view. It doesnt matter if the part is audio or MIDI.

Did we lose that contextual knife tool? I use that a LOT, and it takes a few more steps to split parts using the editor. My 5.00 install gives me the knife tool in arranger mode. 5.06 just shows me the main edit tools (cut, copy, paste, duplicate, etc). Hope this comes back when 5.06 gets released.
