24.04 – Unable to remove Ondrej NGINX

I only have a couple of years experience with Linux, and want to remove Ondrej and install the regular NGINX.

I tried running this command:

add-apt-repository --remove ppa:ondrej/nginx

But it gives an error:

ERROR: ppa 'ondrej/nginx' not found (use --login if private)

However if I run apt policy I can see an entry for it:

 500 https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/ondrej/nginx/ubuntu noble/main amd64 Packages
     release v=24.04,o=LP-PPA-ondrej-nginx,a=noble,n=noble,l=PPA for NGINX Stable,c=main,b=amd64
     origin ppa.launchpadcontent.net

What gives? How to remove/replace the PPA? I just want to use nginx/stable

This is in Ubuntu 24.04 Server btw.. Thanks
