S88 not updating screen when Komplete Kontrol plugin is used in Ableton

When I add Komplete Kontrol as a plugin (AU or VST3) and select an instrument (both Kontakt and non-Kontakt) for a track in Ableton Live, the keyboard (S88 Mk3) displays that instrument in every track of the project. If I move back to the original track, where the instrument actually is, after moving away from it, it displays a screen stating there is no plugin on that track. If I play the keyboard the instrument plays however.

All other plugins located in other tracks become inaccessible via the S88. Removing all instances of Komplete Kontrol from the project make the S88 behave normally again.

Has anyone encountered this problem? I only noticed it today, but it may have started when I updated to KK 3.5.5 which was a few days ago. Surely not before that.
