It has been a while since I got my Linnstrument out (another “hobby” has got in the way of late), but I used to play SWAM instruments – I also found it difficult to get smooth note transitions, so I used the low-row z-axis as the pressure input and then I can get the effects I expect playing legato. I think there is a thread elsewhere about this too.
