UDO DMNO
The Udo DMNO is an 8-voice polyphonic, 2-part multitimbral analog-hybrid synthesizer that offers a unique and playful approach to sound design and performance. It is essentially two independent 4-voice synthesizers in one unit, each with its own dedicated set of front-panel controls and a Dynamic Multi-Core Stereo VCF. This dual-engine design allows for a wide range of sonic possibilities, from rich, warm analog tones to extreme and complex textures. The DMNO is designed for hands-on control and performability, with a clear and intuitive layout that encourages experimentation.
A key feature of the DMNO is its innovative “Play Modes” system. This system allows you to instantly reconfigure the synthesizer’s internal architecture, defining how the two synth engines interact with each other. The eight Play Modes include Single, Dual, Split, One-Two, Cycle, Random, Chaos, and Series, offering a variety of ways to layer, split, and modulate the two timbres. The DMNO also features a high-resolution digital effects engine, providing a suite of effects including delay, reverb, EQ, distortion, and chorus. All of this is managed through a high-contrast vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) that minimizes menu diving and keeps you focused on creating. The binaural analog signal path creates a wide, three-dimensional sound by providing a complete synthesizer voice for each channel.
