Raspberry Pi AI Kit. – Raspberry Pi expansion module

This AI accelerator is specialised hardware designed to optimise and accelerate the processing of operations linked to artificial intelligence, such as machine learning. Unlike processors (CPUs) or even graphics processors (GPUs), which can handle a wide variety of tasks, AI accelerators are designed to perform operations specific to artificial intelligence algorithms. This AI Kit contains an M.2 HAT+ card to be installed on the Raspberry Pi 5 (not supplied), as well as a 2242 M.2 card equipped with the Hailo-8L chip.

The Hailo AI accelerator optimises performance by processing complex operations in parallel, reducing the time needed to train AI models or make inferences. It is also more energy-efficient: consuming less power than CPUs and GPUs for similar tasks, making it attractive for embedded devices or resource-constrained environments.
