repository – May you answer some questions about Arch’s Databases?

I was reading the documentation and also read this page.May you confirm that I understand it correcrly?

1. pacman -S option can download any package from any repo on a mirror. And there is only files from Arch Team and uhmm …. it keeps system up-to-date.
2. pacman -F option searches for files’s (from argument) package. It shows us files’s package or package’s files.And searches only in sync database.

• Are sync database,mirrors only for Arch devs to upload updated packages for system updates?
• Is “remote packages” term stand for just repository?
• Is mirror (as I know the server holding the repos) belongs to Arch and such Tech organization?
