python-urllib3 on centos 7 – Alibaba Cloud Developer Forums: Cloud Discussion Forums

When setting up a centos 7 image for a websever on elastic cloud if one tries to do:

sudo yum update

sudo yum install httpd firewalld mod_ssl openssl epel-release certbot

sudo yum install python-urllib3

One will get an error that ends in:

Failed:
  python-urllib3.noarch 0:1.10.2-5.el7                                          

Complete!

To prevent this, first do:
sudo pip uninstall urllib3
then do:
sudo yum install python-urllib3
as indicated at:
bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1187057
