Amp Sim Pedals into digital cab sim? – Guitars Forum

Yes, you absolutely can. I like running my pedalboard—>amps and preamp pedals—>DI into my interface and just using a cab sim on the computer side. Amp sims have gotten so much better that the difference isn’t always noticeable, but there won’t be any aliasing present with analog pedals/amps if that’s something you’re worried about. Amp-in-a-box or a solid state amp will be the easiest way to do it. Tube amps will likely require a load box. Those Vox Valvenergy pedals are great for Di recording.

Also, almost anything sounds better than Guitar Rig these days.
