Have not seen any official statements that VIP has been retired, or EOL. Just that they quietly stopped updating it years ago (VIP 3.1.1 latest was 2018), removed it from the store pages, removed the old VIP user discussion forums and support pages, and stopped making the dedicated controller keyboards for VIP (from AKAI, M-Audio, & Alesis).
