Airslick – A Diva Wrapper & Theme for Ableton Live – Max4Live – Push 3 Mapped – u-he Forum

The Push implementation looks really good, and I can see that you have already implemented buttons as I suggested!

I’m not sure if 25 banks will end up being impractical (e.g. too much jumping around between banks), but I will explore it if I end up getting a Push…

I do have a few bits of feedback on the device:

1. Theme

I use the Default Light theme in Ableton Live, and AirSlick looks a bit weird as it doesn’t follow the theme colours like many other devices – see images below (AirSlick vs Wavetable):

Using the theme colours for the panels, waveform displays etc would look great.

2. Latency

I don’t think AirSlick is reporting latency correctly. Diva unwrapped reports 16 samples of latency on my machine, AirSlick is reporting 0 samples:

3. Some of the controls are a little misaligned (e.g. the waveform dials on the Triple OSC look too high)

4. This last of is not a big deal, it’s very much a “nice to have” – the fact that most list values are in title case (i.e. capital letter at the start), but a few are not (e.g. polyphony settings, “none” in various menus) bugs me! I think these values are defined within Diva itself, but if there is anything you can do to modify them before display that would be great.
