DecimuLabs Trigger

Trigger is a drum trigger plugin (audio to MIDI): it measures how hard each hit on a drum track (or a microphone) was and converts it into a MIDI note with its velocity, to fire any sampler. It also has its own 8-sample player with velocity layers and round-robin, to reinforce or replace the original hit.

It learns the ‘fingerprint’ of the instrument to reject bleed from the other drums, calibrates itself, and can record your real hits to build the samples or export the track’s MIDI. It opens in a simple mode with only the essentials (2 samples); advanced mode adds all controls and the 8 samples. Tooltips in English or Spanish.

Inspired by drum triggers and replacers such as Retrig, Trigger 2 and Drumagog. Own implementation. Open source (GPLv3). Early test build, not yet tested with real drums: feedback welcome.
