DecimuLabs Scour
Scour is a six-module lo-fi effect to dirty and age any sound. Each module switches on and off separately: NOISE adds vinyl, tape, hum, static, VHS or dust noise that can follow your signal or hide when it plays. WOBBLE gives the flutter of a worn tape, with slow wow and fast flutter. DISTORT saturates with four shapes and a focus to keep the lows clean. DIGITAL lowers sample rate and bit depth. SPACE is a lo-fi reverb with predelay. MAGNETIC dulls the highs, makes the level tremble and adds dropouts.
Every module has a FLUX control, a slow random drift so it never sounds the same twice, and a MAGNITUDE knob raises them all at once. Each module shows a visualizer of what it is doing, plus a final EQ, width, global mix and an output waveform display. No latency. Tooltips in English or Spanish.
Inspired by lo-fi chain effects such as RC-20 Retro Color, Dirty Tape and Retro Fi. Own implementation. Open source (GPLv3). Early test build: feedback welcome.
