You can absolutely get close to the real thing by putting a schematic into SPICE, but you always need to compare with the original and figure out where the model falls short. Some SPICE components are modelled too perfect, too simplified to be 100% realistic.
Modelling like this is a starting point. Going from there to a really good model takes months and a lot of measurements: comparing the model with the original, finding the differences and figuring out the math to fix them. That’s great to …
