Well, I have demo of Pure Sub, and the Harmonics does not seem more powerful than the Harmonic Filter in DS Thorn. Pure Sub does have and editing window where individual harmonics can be adjusted–as opposed to Thorn’s editable filter shape.

Regarding the presets, it varies on what stands out more in importance to the sound, preset by preset. I guess it was a dumb question.

The Processing part of Pure Sub pulls up secret processing chains. At first I thought it was just compression and distortion or wave shaping, but apparently it has a delay sometimes. I have no idea how to see the mysterious chain, as it is different than the FX section. On the “Dirty Reese” preset, with “Amoss Peaks” preset for Processing, there is a delay on there, and no way to tweak it. Other Arturia synths have an expert mode that shows more parameters–is there one I’m missing on Pure Sub? If not, this would seem to make it a tool for noobs.
