Now you mention boot time, the only time my machine runs a full cold boot cycle is after a MacOs update (a bit too many of those recently)

When I’m done for the day then all I do is click “Lock Screen” or just close the lid. Start the next day: power button scans my fingerprint and I can continue wherever I was.

You might want to unplug USB periphereals as they’ll then still get power and drain the battery empty over a weekend.
