Stratasys F370 Duet 3 Conversion Motor Questions
We have a Stratasys F370 that we are no longer using due to material cost. We’re thinking it can be controlled by the Duet 3 board. One thing that stands out are the axis motors are all brushless DC motors with hall and encoders. The first thought was to replace with stepper motors, but then I read that a servo drive can take the axis signal for the stepper, and run the brushless motor with it, including the feedback.
What’s your first thought on going down this road? Should we install steppers? I’m worried about inertia putting on new motors.
