A specialized noise gate built specifically for drums — not a generic threshold gate, but an intelligent, spectral analysis-driven gate that understands the difference between a snare hit and hi-hat bleed. Built around Mel-frequency spectral analysis, multi-method onset detection, and cross-band correlation, DarkGate finally solves the eternal problem: gating drums without artifacts, false triggers, or chopped tails.

Intelligent gating engine:

Mel-frequency spectral analysis — analyzes the perceptual frequency content of each hit, not just amplitude.

Multi-method onset detection — combines spectral flux, energy, and phase coherence for reliable hit detection.

Cross-band correlation — rejects bleed by comparing frequency-band relationships (a kick has different cross-band content than a snare; a snare has different content than a hi-hat).
