Yes, Bitwig completely changed the automation. Automation is no longer inside of clips at all. They removed that entirely. The new approach is more consistent.

I liked the old add/multiply options, but they were also not entirely reliable depending on use case. It also meant having to go into a clip to edit it. Now, all automation can always be seen in the arranger/launcher. The old method had some advantage, but also disadvantage.
