In case I’m not the last person on earth to discover this, here’s how to avoid having to manually select the “Soft proofing” profile each time you open a new raw file. In the Preferences > Colour Management tab > Monitor section select your preferred output profile, e.g., RT4_SRGB, from the combobox. In my case, I have a non-calibrated OEM monitor profile installed for my Windows 11 PC so I tick the checkbox below the combobox to enable it. I’m not sure of the effectiveness of this choice for my Windows version of RT (5.12 stable) or the Linux versions I run on the same box using WSL: dev and the latest appimage from jdc, so YMMV.
