How to access/import data into Microsoft Foundry (Azure) from Azure SQL

I am using Microsoft Foundry (AI) in Azure to create a new model so I can perform RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation). I have an azure database with a table containing some rows and I would like to use that for a model.

When I google the how-to, I am told to create a new connection (in foundry) and select ‘Azure SQL’ – however, in the connection the only data access is Azure Blobs which I don’t need.

Does anyone know if it is possible to access Azure SQL from Foundry?

My alternative is to try with Azure Data Factory to Data Lake Storage Gen2 – however, this seems to be rather cumbersome – especially when handling new rows or changes.
