Perceived Latency Issue: FM3 vs. Scarlett Solo (Software Monitoring)

I’m experiencing higher perceived latency when using the FM3 as my interface for software monitoring in Logic Pro compared to my Focusrite Scarlett Solo. Even though I’ve ensured the sample rate is locked to 48kHz, set a low buffer size (32), and verified there are no look-ahead plugins (like Linear Phase EQ) on the master bus, the FM3 feels noticeably “heavier” and less responsive than the Scarlett under the exact same conditions. Logic reports similar roundtrip latency (~7ms) for both, but the playing feel is drastically different; is there a specific internal USB buffer setting on the FM3 I might be missing, or is there an inherent difference in driver performance for roundtrip monitoring?
