Bug #2133415 “Rabbitmq/Erlang repos no longer valid” : Bugs : OpenStack-Ansible

As per the Rabbitmq team, the Erlang and Rabbitmq repos have moved and the ppa1.rabbitmq.com repos in the rabbitmq_server role are no longer valid, causing the rabbitmq_server play to fail out when attempting to do an apt update.

To correct this, I manually downloaded and installed the gpg key in their instructions and modified my user variables with the following settings:

rabbitmq_repo_url: “https://deb1.rabbitmq.com/rabbitmq-erlang/ubuntu/noble“
rabbitmq_repo:
  – name: “RabbitMQ”
    suites: “{{ ansible_facts[‘distribution_release’] | lower }}”
    uris: “{{ rabbitmq_repo_url }}”
    signed_by: “/usr/share/keyrings/com.rabbitmq.team.gpg”
    components: main
    architectures: “{{ rabbitmq_architecture_mapping.get(ansible_facts[‘architecture’]) }}”
    state: “{{ (rabbitmq_install_method == ‘external_repo’) | ternary(‘present’, ‘absent’) }}”
rabbitmq_erlang_repo:
  – name: “els_erlang”
    suites: “{{ ansible_facts[‘distribution_release’] | lower }}”
    uris: “{{ rabbitmq_repo_url }}”
    signed_by: “/usr/share/keyrings/com.rabbitmq.team.gpg”
    components: main
    architectures: “{{ rabbitmq_architecture_mapping.get(ansible_facts[‘architecture’]) }}”
    state: “{{ (rabbitmq_install_method == ‘external_repo’) | ternary(‘present’, ‘absent’) }}”
