Yes, that, or a single 4×12 with two separate cicuits of two speakers in the same cab, as far as connecting it to an amp goes the same as two cabs of two speakers each, even though they are all in the same cab. I recently got two second hand 4×12 cabs of which I intend to mix different types of speakers in, and most likely both turn into permanent stereo cabs as I did to my 2×12.
