aws sdk net – Amazon.Extensions.NETCore.Setup Windows vs Android

I am using dotnet MAUI Blazor and I have found an inconsistency in Amazon.Extensions.NETCore.Setup that I cannot explain.

In MauiProgram.cs I am using

      builder.Services.AddAWSService(new AWSOptions
      {
          Credentials = new BasicAWSCredentials(my_aws_key, my_aws_secret_key),
          Region = RegionEndpoint.USWest2
      });

In Windows this creates the service and I have no issues.
In Android, this service is not created. There are no errors at this point.

Has anyone else seen this?
