pi 5 – Raspberry Pi 5 periodically crashes and becomes unresponsive until manually hard rebooted

I’ve had a Raspberry Pi 5 8GB for a few months now. Sometimes, when doing tasks such as downloading a file or using it for DNS filtering, and even when not doing those tasks, the Pi becomes unresponsive and I cannot connect to it via SSH or use any of the services I’ve configured on it until I manually shut it down and reboot it. I do not know what is causing this, nor what details or things to share.
While the Pi is unresponsive, the LED on my SATA to USB-A connector is flashing, indicating that files are still being transferred between the Pi and the SSD.

Setup :
The Pi is running Debian 12 Bookworm on a MicroSD Card.
I have an SSD connected to the Pi via a SATA to USB-A connection and Docker containers are being stored and run on the SSD.

Please tell me what I should provide to diagnose the issue.

Thank you.
