Phase Settings of Synths (in: Sound Design)

Hi,

A lot of synths are based on playing various single cycle waveforms (such as a sine wave, saw wave, square wave, etc…) and giving some controls over how you want adjust these basic waveforms and how you want the waveforms to be played back.

A lot of the times when there is some kind of “phase knob” that can be tweaked, it relates to the starting point of the waveform you want to play back.
