Midi pedal (in: Roger Linn Design)

I’m looking for a pedal I can use to control the volume of instruments like the pedal steel while using my linnstrument.
On the “hooking it up” page it says “To use a conventional expression pedal with LinnStrument, you must use a device that converts its analog signal to MIDI, such as the low-cost “MIDI Expression” product. Then you must mix its MIDI data with LinnStrument’s MIDI data in your DAW or with a MIDI Merger box.”
