usb drive – USB not getting detected by VirtualBox VM. Tried infinite ways of resolving the issue but no success

I have VirtualBox Graphical User Interface Version 7.0.16_Ubuntu r162802, and as I found out, this version should support USB Drives. Tried setting USB for the specific VM by Adding the USB filter from the dropdown and selecting Yes for Remote Yes / No / Any. Tried and installed USB 3.0 Drivers [as my USB ports are 3.0] for the corresponding VM OS builds, in this case: Windows 7 32 and 64 bit editions, but still USBs won’t get detected. Virtualbox extension pack is installed. Any way out??
