Corruption Issues in Azure SQL Tables Across Two Databases

We have been experiencing data corruption issues in the following tables since July 19th:

  • [CIP_DW_Mart].[dbo].[LoanDisbursements]

[CIP_DW_VenturesMart].[dbo].[VGTrialBalance]

These tables reside in two separate databases, and no direct read or write operations occur between them.

To mitigate the issue temporarily, we performed the following action:

Renamed [dbo].[LoanDisbursements] to [dbo].[LoanDisbursements_corrupted].

Created a new [dbo].[LoanDisbursements] table, which is now functioning as expected.

We would like to resolve this issue at the earliest and request a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to understand the source and prevent recurrence.
