It’s not an emulation. It’s using the original code from the hardware so you’re getting an exact copy in plugin form along with an updated model option. I’d say even though it’s decades old, it blows the majority of tape emulations, even released last year out of the water. The only one that are more accurate for tape emulation are IK and UAD, but with this you can drive much further without getting very apparent distortion.
