if you design a system that runs at a certain oversampling factor because of quality considerations then *this* is the constraint on the system and not the lofi version of it; resulting in that only a simple/”naive” oversampling implementation allows for variable sample-rates where a change of the sample-rate results merely in an adjustment of coefficients, buffer-sizes etc. But if you factor in…
