XILS synths all on sale! I read good things about them but.. do I really need them? (in: Instruments)

I checked out the original PolyKB from Xils Lab when it was released. While I thought it sounded good, I tend not to like synth emulations that use the original almost as a starting point and then add on a lot of extra features (like a mod matrix and so forth). At that point, I think it’s better to design a new instrument where all of the modern features are better integrated into the UI rather than being tacked on ala SonicProjects’ OP-X Pro or hidden behind “Advanced” panels and so forth, the …
