Many of them “can” do this. My serious question I want to understand, is “why” would you want to do this? Certainly not for archive purposes… What would you hope to achieve with using a monolithic format? IMHO, the only thing worse than a monolithic format, is an encrypted monolithic format. There is no future-proofing when using such a format. The most important resource a person has with sampling is the actual samples.
