Well, they say they want to take 1-2 months to rewrite a smaller, entirely new runtime library for D. That sounds like a serious undertaking.

I don’t know whether the D compiler they use is open source, but it seems that debugging the problem with the current runtime might be more promising. What are you gonna do with that new minimal D runtime? Presumably it won’t be very useful for the D community. Wasted effort?

In any case I wouldn’t bank on the 2 months deadline to implement a new runtime…
